Orlando Bass Fishing Information
When people think of Orlando, Bass fishing isn't generally the first thing that pops in their head. Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, and other theme parks are what draw vacationers from all over the world to beautiful Central Florida. Unbeknownst to most, the Orlando and Kissimmee area host some of this country's best and most diverse Largemouth Bass fisheries. Best of all these Trophy Bass fishing lakes are all located within a 20 minute drive of most theme parks.
I offer guided Bass fishing trips on Orlando, Florida's Conway Chain of Lakes and The Butler Chain of Lakes. For more informaiton on these lakes, visit my fishing locations page.
Orlando's Conway Chain is located near the Orlando International Airport. Relatively deep, by Florida Lake standards, the water is generally clear. It is well known for schooling Bass, which means lots of top-water action.
Orlando's Butler Chain of Lakes is probably one of the most beautiful fisheries in the State of Florida. Lined with multi-million dollar houses and full grown Cypress Trees, this is one of the best kept secrets in Orlando. What's the secret? Huge Largemouth Bass live there. Throughout most of the year, it's a great place to perfect your artificial lure skills. Crank baits, jerk baits, top water plugs, and Carolina-rigged worms always work there. During the spawning season, which in Orlando can run from December - March, it's a great place to use big Wild Shiners. Largemouth Bass in the 8 - 11 pound range are common there that time of year.
